Chains...

*Sigh* I just had to do another picture of Yuli and Suzunagi—I can’t help it! I had to make it tragic—the way the story’s supposed to be. They’re wearing their once lovely wedding outfits—which symbolizes their love for each other--now being torn—their love is canceled. They’re beaten everywhere—symbolizing innocence and youth lost—and are held in chains. Those chains symbolize the hatred their families have for each other—and unfortunately Yuli and Suzunagi will not survive the chains. They’ll die basically. Pretty tragic, huh? Well, it’s a modern Romeo and Juliet story for crying out loud! It’s a TRAGEDY!!

Anyway, the lyrics are from the 1968 film version of Romeo and Juliet—the best I’ve seen so far! I’ve only seen parts of the 1936 version—which would’ve been better if they had TEENAGERS! (Norma Shear—who was 36—played Juliet and Lawrence Oliver—41!—played Romeo....no wonder I wasn’t interested in the play before...) And I have yet to see the 1996 version (the one with Leonardo DiCaprio), which should see—even if it stars DiCaprio...
